Since assuming office, President Trump has done everything in his power to protect the preborn, and recently released a statement that has solidified his stance.
After campaigning on pro-life issues, President Trump has kept his promises and racked up a list of pro-life accomplishments, including becoming the first sitting president to address the March for Life, appointing numerous pro-life individuals to key positions such as Justice Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, and helping cut taxpayer-funded abortions.
Tackling taxpayer-funded abortions, Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy which stopped $9 billion in foreign aid from being used to fund abortions overseas; reinstated and made the Hyde Amendment permanent, which protects taxpayers from having to fund abortions; ensured people are not forced to fund abortifacient drugs through ObamaCare; and cut off taxpayer funding for the U.N. Population Fund, which aids China’s controlled population programs.
In his pro-life efforts, he has signed H.J. Res. 43 into law, which grants states the ability to reallocate Title X funds to life-affirming pregnancy centers and community centers. Furthermore, the Trump Administration Department of Justice has officially launched a formal investigation into Planned Parenthood’s trafficking and selling of baby body parts.
His newest validation of the pro-life movement includes releasing a letter in support of National Right to Life Committee. In the letter, President Trump recognizes the preborn have the “most basic and fundamental human right — the right to life.” He also states he is “dedicated to protecting the lives of every American, including the unborn.”
President Trump praises the work of the National Right to Life Committee and commits himself to continuing to work with the pro-life movement in order to “cultivate a world that values and respects every human we look forward to many more life-affirming accomplishments.
