Human Defense Initiative is happy to announce we have just launched a baby registry for a young mom in need who was contemplating abortion but ultimately decided to choose life and is expecting a baby boy!
Kat is expecting her first child, a baby boy, very soon. Upon finding out she was pregnant, she didn’t know what to do. She was referred to us by a friend and when she reached out she explained her concerns about the pregnancy and admitted she was contemplating both abortion and adoption. She was very conflicted because her situation wasn’t ideal but she also felt like the baby was a blessing and wanted to keep it. Like many mothers facing unexpected pregnancies, Kat was considering other options because she felt pressured to do so. In talking with her, we discovered what Kat really needed was support so she could feel confident in caring for her baby. After explaining that we would help her, she decided to choose life and is now eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby boy, who she plans to parent.
Let’s show Kat that she does in fact have support and help her acquire the things she needs for her little one. She’s most concerned about the big ticket baby items such as a car seat, stroller, nursery center (bassinet/pack n play combo), and bathtub etc. She also needs a few smaller items such as clothes, diapers, and baby healthcare items.
Here at Human Defense Initiative we believe every child, planned or not is a gift and that women should never feel pressured to abort or that abortion is their only option. We also want to help abortion-vulnerable women and moms in need who are in less than ideal situations so they feel that they do have enough love and support to raise their baby.
That is why we are asking you to help us help Kat! Let’s show her and her baby boy love as they enter into this new journey in their lives. Make sure to choose “gift address” at the checkout so everything purchased ships directly to Kat!
Important notice: As we have previously announced, Kat and our next mother have been on our waitlist. Once we finish these registries, we will be going on hiatus for the time being and referring mothers to other local resources for assistance. Due to COVID-19, we will not be able to continue registries as items continue to go out of stock online and shipping is hindered.(For more information on this decision click here). Please help us complete this registry and our next for these moms in need and thank you for all of the love you have given to all of our mothers and families. You’re truly changing and saving lives!
