Human Defense Initiative is excited to announce our latest fundraiser for a single expecting mother in need!

Mama A is a single mom expecting her first child, a baby boy, in just a few weeks! Upon finding out she was pregnant, the child’s father was not supportive. “From the very moment I told my child’s father I was pregnant, he told me, ‘You’re only six weeks pregnant; it’s not even a life yet. You need to go ahead and get the abortion,’ and when I told him I was keeping my baby, he told me that I needed to make a choice – ‘either him or the fetus,’ and that was his exact words,” Mama A explained.

She also told us how his family supports his stance and believes she’s wrong for keeping her baby and have been mistreating her since the beginning of her pregnancy. While her family is supportive, they live far away and cannot assist with the financial costs. She wants to move back home, but money is tight since her old job placed her on unpaid maternity leave when she was just three months pregnant. She currently works at a fast food job, so she can afford her bills but can only work a few hours because her feet swell up badly and she suffers from severe nausea.

“I been trying my best to get everything done, but it’s so hard when you’re alone,” Mama A said.

Let’s show Mama A she isn’t alone and help her get all the baby items she needs for her baby boy! Due to her finances, she needs everything from a crib to diapers.

Here at Human Defense Initiative, we never want women to feel pressured into an abortion but rather feel confident that they have what they need to love and provide for their babies.

Let’s show Mama A and her son some love and support during this next journey in their lives!
