After a long hiatus, Human Defense Initiative is excited to announce our latest fundraiser for a mother of three in need!
Due to the pandemic, Mama M lost her job and her husband was out of work for three months, causing them to struggle financially to stay afloat. They’ve cut out all unnecessary bills to make ends meet but still struggle to put food on the table and acquire necessities for their family including the special (and expensive) formula her littlest son requires.
She gave birth to her youngest son in March and due to financial difficulties, she was not able to buy all of the things he needs. Up until now, he has been wearing whatever clothes she managed to save from her other children which isn’t much but now he’s growing too big and is in desperate need of more clothes and pajamas.
Additionally, he was also born with a rare defect that will be requiring corrective surgery, along with a milk allergy which causes him to require special formula that’s around $50 per can. She’s waiting for WIC and emergency food stamps but in the meantime is desperate for any help she can get.
To help this family get back on their feet, HDI has put together an Amazon baby registry for her infant as well as a Walmart Registry to help put much needed groceries on the table (and to help with a few household necessities.)
While the formula, clothes, diapers, food, crib and mattress are needed the most, we wanted to list their other needs as well including a high chair, baby tub, medicine, etc.
Due to COVID-19, we understand many families are struggling so we ask that you join us in lending Mama M a helping hand. Let’s show Mama M and her family some love and support during this tough time.
To donate, click the links to the registries below. Make sure to click "gift address" under shipping at the checkout to ensure the gift ships directly to Mama M. If you would like to contribute to cold and perishable groceries please donate a Walmart giftcard as those cannot be delivered. Group gifting is also enabled on Amazon for the more expensive items so you can donate toward those gifts.
Thank you so much for your support in advance!
