HDI Launches Registry for Expecting Mom Currently in Maternity Home

/ National

Human Defense Initiative is happy to announce our latest fundraiser for a mother who was pressured to abort but chose life!

Misty is a young single mom to a three year old little girl and is expecting her second child, a baby boy, any day!

When she became unexpectedly pregnant she was pushed to abort by the father of her new baby but she refused, knowing the baby was still a blessing from the Lord regardless of the circumstances. Misty found herself pregnant with nowhere to go and is now living in a maternity home. She works full-time but lately it’s been harder to get hours because of how along she is and she still financially struggles. She has also recently been diagnosed with preeclampsia so she’s now high-risk.

She’s mostly concerned about accumulating the big ticket baby items such as a car seat and stroller, a pack n play and mattress, bottles, swing, and bouncer but also has a few smaller needs such as baby healthcare items, clothes, diapers, and more.

Here at Human Defense Initiative we believe every child, planned or not, is a gift and that women should never feel pressured to abort. We also want to help mothers in need who are in less than ideal situations so they feel that they do have enough love and support to raise their baby.

That is why we are asking you to help us help Misty! Let’s show Misty and her son some love and support during this next journey in their lives!

To donate, click the link to the registry below. Make sure to click "gift address" under shipping at the checkout to ensure the gift ships directly to the mom. Thank you so much for your support in advance! Group gifting is also enabled on the more expensive items so you can donate toward those gifts!

UPDATE: This registry is now complete thanks to our wonderful donors! We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to or shared Misty's registry! Please check our donation page HERE for future fundraisers!
